He is totally under-rated as an actor, and if people can get past the image, they'd see that beneath his charm and good looks he had substance. I sent his daughter Brigit a Facebook Friend Request, through Tom McNulty's page (he's a personal friend) but she never responded. I would love to talk with her about her dad. Flynn and I would have gotten along very well. Thanks again!

Joe BonadonnaJoe Bonadonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08053954733485203286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856434598096062317.post-32177102191597320052014-04-18T11:37:51.958-07:002014-04-18T11:37:51.958-07:00I shared your passion for Errol Flynn. But it is lamenting to see a shinning light losing its vitality. As an actor, we should appreciate the range of his work. But as an idol to me, I am determined to remember him as that eternal youth and that unsurpassed male beauty--so vivid, so full of life, so vital--on screen and off screen. There is no need to apologize for his "sins," which have been overblown out of proportion by the sensational media even today. Compared to his Hollywood peers, now and then, he has not done anything that were and are not commonplace by others. Errol Flynn didn't need to apologize for living his life the way he wanted and to its fullest. He should be celebrated and commemorated. I learned a great deal from his autobiography and he is an inspiration to me. RIP, the great Errol Flynn.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05261567043500926457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856434598096062317.post-42601687548949557392012-05-16T17:27:50.494-07:002012-05-16T17:27:50.494-07:00You're most welcome, Tom! Thanks to your book, I'm no longer afraid to see Flynn in ill health and less the dashing hero, and can now settle back and study the performances, the roles he was given late in his career, the type of "meaty" roles he deserved and was rarely given in the 1930s and 1940s. I am looking forward to reading your "Trail of the Burned Man," too.Joe Bonadonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08053954733485203286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856434598096062317.post-75984188251269107712012-05-16T16:39:34.706-07:002012-05-16T16:39:34.706-07:00Thank you Joe!
